A single kick of little effort was enough to take him out of the fight. What pity befalls him. Mufasa, on the other hand, was the undisputed king in brawn and mind. Simba could only hope to be as great as him one day. Though, even with that in my mind, a collaboration of effort between Scar and Zira could lead to a victory if fought well, and being both villainous, I would see the two deeming it necessary to fight as one, even with Scar's ego. The young Kovu would lend only a moment's distraction at best, and would be felled by a single lazy blow from the king. Mufasa >> Simba (TLK2) > Simba (TLK1) ~ Scar >~ Zira >>> Vitani >>> Kovu EDIT: It would seem actual skill matters here. Nala was able to overwhelm Simba despite the obvious conclusion that she would fall to Scar's paw, and Rafiki unleashed his godly rage upon the hyenas with finesse and speed while the lions relied on brute force. He beat an entire group of Hyena's that Simba was having trouble with, without even being touched. Rafiki is indeed quite the badass, with his staff and opposable thumbs, I think he could be a tough fight for many. It also does help that he's very smart and skilled, probably the most intelligent and skilled thing in TLK

Kill Mufassa?" When they're fighting Simba, the hyenas don't seem especially fearful; they treat him more or less the same as the other lions in the fight. EDIT: To more directly answer the OP though, teamwork and teamwork alone could make this very difficult for Mufassa. Although he is indisputably the strongest one of these combatants, strength in numbers shouldn't be taken lightly. I'd say Mufassa walks away with wounds after a very difficult fight. Google Chrome	Mufasa scared them because he had reputation and because the hyenas weren't starving(well, not as much as under Scar). Against Simba, the hyenas had far more motivation, a lot more backup on their side, etc. Also, the hyenas in general are not good judges of anything. Do you honestly think Mufasa could face the horde of 100+ hyenas? No, but as we see in the final battle, the hyenas would rather flee than fight Also, the hyenas weren't exactly giving up the instant Mufasa showed up. One of them(can't tell if it was Banzai or Ed) takes a bite out of his back and Shenzi makes a particularily nasty growl before it cuts to shadow and Mufasa has them pinned Edited by lazerbem, Feb 16 2015, 06:58 PM.

Simba gets bitten by 1 hyena, but it's obvious he's in pain. Iazerbem, at this point, I'm not entirely sure what we are arguing about. Mufassa is stronger than Simba. Also, yes, I overlooked that. Neck injuries should be more painful than back ones. In TLK, they make it clear that being outnumbered can change a fight. As you've said, although Simba could beat any hyena individually, groups of them were troublesome. In the end, Mufassa doesn't have to be tremendously stronger, and teamwork could prove fatal. Mufasa > Scar Scar ~ Simba Mufasa > Simba But if Scar and Zira team up, Mufassa could still lose despite his strength edge.

Google Chrome	That's my point. Scar is no stranger to playing dirty and will have no problem teaming up with Zira to attack. Kovu is going to have to serve as a meat shield or distraction, he's the weakest one here. But yeah, I would find it extremely hard for Mufasa to fend off Scar and Zira at the same time. The trio can win 8/10 times, imo

FireFox Favourite Manga Sailor Moon	It took a fall from great heights through a tree and a stampede of wildebeest to finish off Mufusa as for Scar's team here's what we were shown. Scar was only a little stronger than a Simba who had lived with Timon and Pumba and was living off bugs. Kova got took out by a shot from his sister Vitani with one kick, this same sister was later having an even fight with Nala. Zira is all over the place but I place her about the same as Scar. Zira was ready to fight Simba twice but at the same time she wanted Kova to take out Simba. Zira wanted Kova to do to Simba what Simba did to Scar and she only wanted to face Simba when firstly Kova was a child before she came up with her plan and secondly after Kova was lost to her. Finally Kira also was enough to force Zira off a cliff. Mufasa can take Kova out in one blow and when it comes down to Scar and Zira vs Mufasa, the two evil lions just aren't going to be able to get it done.
